Tackle Your TBR Challenge: Dream Character

I'm doing the Dream Character Challenge by Wishful Endings as part of the TBR Readathon! :)

1. Pick your favorite character from a book: Emperor Kai from The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer. One does not simply come to this blog often without noting my love for Emperor Kai. Take a look around and you'll see what I'm talking about.

2. List the name, the book he/she is from, and why that was your choice: Emperor Kai shows up in all The Lunar Chronicles books: Cinder, Scarlet, and Cress by Marissa Meyer. I chose him cause he's witty, sarcastic, friendly, and does not object to you showing up in a muddy dress with oil stains on the gloves gave to you as a gift.

3. Pick a celebrity or picture of who you would dream cast for that character. Ummm....I don't think I know of any. I should probably do a google search for perfect-looking Asian guys? Haha!

Found him!!!!

Well, there you have it folks! And that wraps up my last TBR Challenge! It's been fun guys!

The YA Prom

Gaby from Queen Ella Bee Reads & Alexa from Alexa Loves Books hosted the YA prom twitter chat tonight! I came late (as usual) but I still had tons of fun!

What is the YA Prom? Well, all can be explained in this intro post, YA Prom is a chance for you to pick your favorite YA date and attend prom in the YA world!

So.....the obvious question is who did Monique choose to take? Ummm....do you even have to ask? I took Emperor Kai!

Emperor Kai

I'm not a girl that is into all the details of prom such as the hair, dress, nails, and all that other extra stuff, but I had so much fun with the twitter chat! Fun fact: I discovered there were some people with twenty dates at the prom. Whoa! Thank you Gaby and Alexa for hosting! It was loads of fun! :)

PS. Obviously Kai and I were going to late, we kept getting distracted.

Which YA guy would you take to the YA prom?

Making Up For Monday: Your Favorite Character

Making Up For Monday is weekly blog meme hosted by An Avid Reader; A Wannabe Writer Each week she will have a book-related theme or game, or something fun to do that week. And you can play along! All you have to do is find the question for that week, go to your own blog, write a post that day based on that question, and link your post to this one using the link up tool at the bottom of the post.
Today's Question: Who is your favorite character?

Me: You're asking me to choose? I can't do that!

If I had to choose out of all the books I've read, I wouldn't even know where to begin. I'm narrowing it down to who is my favorite character in Cress by Marissa Meyer (because it's the last 5/5 stars book I've read recently) in order to keep my sanity.

Everyone who knows me is probably thinking that I'm going to put Emperor Kai. Well, you're right!

Favorite Character from Cress: Emperor Kai

No words are needed why I love this character, but if you have yet to meet him and you need words. Go check out my That's What He Said Thursday post.

And if for some strange reason you haven't read it yet, go read Cinder by Marissa Meyer!

That's What He said Thursday: Emperor Kai

That's what HE said Thursday is a weekly meme hosted at Chapter Break where you post a favorite line of a book boyfriend to his heroine.

                                                                                                       Quote

Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles, #1)
"Believe it or not, I seem to be having technical difficulties again." He unhooked the portscreen from his belt and peered down. "You see, I figured it's probably too much to hope that New Beijing's most renowned mechanic is having trouble with her port, so I figured there must be something wrong with mine." Screwing up his lips, he whapped the corner of his portscreen on the table, then checked the screen again with a heavy sigh. "Nope, nothing. Maybe she's been ignoring my comms on purpose."
